These are some of the issues I think about sometimes.
1. Demystifying science: the challenge of connecting everyday "informal" science methodology to formal science education in the classroom in the minds of students
2. Breaking down the wall between "I learn that in math class" vs "I learn that in science class": how to get students to see that we are using learned math skills to help understand and explain science concepts (especially in physics).
3. Increasing collaboration among science teachers to identify and promote more efficient instructional strategies in age of testing and accountability; yet, how can we teach science teachers to be more flexible, adaptable, and/or creative when having to stick to strict standards and pacing guides?
4. Ed-tech in science: with the increasing amount of available technology, how do we evaluate and choose the "best" to use in our classes?
